IS2 is a privately owned, independent company. The business is managed by a team with over 70 years of experience in insurance software solutions for both the general and life industry. The management team combines seasoned insurance industry experience with innovative, but commercially sound technologists.

Our people are passionate about what they do, and it's a testament to our commitment to exceeding expectations that many new customers come from referrals. Our aim is always to develop long-term partnerships and to work with like-minded businesses, big or small.

2024 - Markel partners with IS2 for Caunce O’Hara

Markel selects IS2 to re-platform the policy administration system for Caunce O’Hara, one of the insurer’s direct-to-customer brands.

2023 - IS2 Hits Ambitious Growth Targets

IS2 hit its two year target for growth, with 50% revenue growth over 2021 and remains on track to grow threefold by year end 2026.

2023 - IS2 Strengthens Team

IS2 strengthens the executive team as part of the plan for significant growth, Joe Sultana joins as Commercial Director with Lucy Hill as Business Development Director. The team continues to grow across the board with technologists also joining in key positions.

2021 - IS2 Celebrate 25 years

What it means to our founder, Simon Pritchard. "Like many founders, sometimes I have needed a single-minded focus, but I am so grateful to my team. I am glad I listened to their insight and guidance and invested properly in a future-proof strategy. It’s because of this that this month we have secured two landmark contracts for the business. 2020 - An API to support enhanced digital distribution

The business continues to grow and adds more key customers to the base and facilities wider, build it once distribution for customers with the introduction of the Atlas public API.

2019 - Birth of Atlas

The business continues to re-invest heavily in the development of the platform and a sustained program of R&D leads to a new platform launch of the product Atlas. A significant upgrade, Atlas is functionally rich and is a cloud native, API first platform built on a scalable containerised infrastructure. Designed to meet the needs of the most challenging applications and the most complex products.

IS2 continues to add major brands, brokers and MGA’s and wins the contract for another commercial lines powerhouse, Markel. Rapidly deploying an online solution for direct PI products.

2008 - Commercial lines goes online

IS2 introduces commercial lines E-Trading Platform and secures a contract with leading insurer, Hiscox. Web enabling Schemes with quote & buy capability and quickly adding a full lifecycle self service application for renewals and mid-term adjustments.

2004 - IS2 powers customers on industry disrupters

Provided aggregator integrations and specialist pricing solutions for demanding high volume personal lines businesses. Many successful years of enabling our customers to compete in a challenging sector. Later on Applied systems acquired the IS2 personal lines business.

1999 - Buying Insurance Online – who would have thought it?

Approached by Open GI to offer a web enabled solution for their products and customers. IS2 became a true pioneer of E-trading solutions in general insurance. Providing web-based technology for personal lines quote & buy for their customers.

1996 - IS2 is launched

IS2 is founded in 1996 by a team with a long history of providing technology to the insurance sector. Early investors in web technology, the business won ground contracts for groundbreaking applications for the leisure industry and asset management.
